MetaPhone

MetaPhone is the in-world operating system of the Jandroide Universe. It is the visible interface of the FeatureHub OS — appearing as phones, tablets, wall panels or any kind of display — and connects Unity, devices and web interfaces through FeatureCloud.

What MetaPhone Is

MetaPhone is not a single app. It is an interface environment that adapts to context, location and display type.

It appears wherever interaction is needed — as a virtual smartphone, tablet, wall display or control panel.
All MetaPhone instances are real web interfaces rendered in different contexts.

The In-World Representation of FeatureHub

MetaPhone is the in-world representation of the FeatureHub OS.

FeatureHub manages features. MetaPhone makes them visible and usable.
Every MetaPhone panel is a composition of WebFeatures running together as a coherent system.

Every Display Is a MetaPhone

Inside the MMRF-A01, every display is a MetaPhone instance.

The same interface logic runs on real devices, inside Unity and in the browser.
This creates a single, consistent interaction layer across reality and simulation.

FeatureCloudGateway

Inside Unity, communication is handled by the FeatureCloudGateway.

The gateway allows Unity GameObjects to communicate with FeatureCloud and react to live system events.
MetaPhone can operate without the gateway. The gateway, however, relies on MetaPhone for authentication.

Authentication and Identity

All MetaPhone interactions are user-bound.

Authentication is handled through standard identity protocols and applies across devices, displays and Unity.
This ensures that actions, permissions and configurations always belong to a specific user.

MetaPhone on Stream

On JandroideTV, MetaPhone appears continuously.

Built on Features

MetaPhone itself is built entirely from features.

Each panel, screen or control is a WebFeature that can be added, removed or replaced.
This keeps the interface flexible and long-lived.

Zero-Waste Interface Design

MetaPhone follows the same zero-waste principles as the rest of the system.

Nothing is shown unless it serves a purpose.
Clarity is treated as a functional requirement.

MetaPhone as an App on Real Devices

MetaPhone does not only exist inside the MMRF-A01. It also runs as an app on real smartphones and devices.

When running on a phone or tablet, MetaPhone behaves like a complete operating system inside an app.
This creates a smartphone-in-a-smartphone model: the host device provides hardware, MetaPhone provides the system.
The interface, logic and behavior remain identical whether MetaPhone appears on a physical device, inside Unity or on an in-world display.

For the Viewer

You do not need to understand MetaPhone to watch the stream.

It exists to make the system readable, not to demand attention.
You can observe or ignore it — both are valid.
