PCB Design

PCB Design defines the creation of custom electronic modules inside Station A01. Boards are developed as part of Ambient Engineering only when no existing modular solution is available, forming reusable components for Martian Micro systems.

Definition

PCB Design focuses on targeted electronic module development.
Custom boards are created only when required.
They extend the modular system rather than replace it.

Modular Design Principle

Martian Micro systems prioritize modular and reusable components.
Existing modules are always preferred over custom solutions.
Custom PCBs are avoided whenever possible.

Targeted Board Development

Custom boards are developed to solve specific system-level problems.
Examples include signal distribution, power regulation or interface adaptation.
Each board has a clearly defined purpose within the system.

Prototype Modules

Boards are designed and tested as reusable modules.
They are not one-off solutions, but building blocks for multiple systems.
Prototypes validate function before wider use.

System Integration

Validated boards are integrated into modular hardware systems.
They connect sensors, controllers and interfaces.
Integration occurs through Modular Assembly workflows.

Transition to Production

Successful modules may become part of standardized Martian Micro components.
Boards are designed for repeatable use and long-term availability.
All modules persist within the station as defined by Continuous World Operation.
